This is Sensi. She's 19, deaf, practically blind and probably senile. But she still looks damn good for her age! She's always had something of the teddy bear about her although these days she looks more like a nightdress case!

This is a weeks worth of the various medications I take for the various illnesses I have. I hope to show a very different picture by the end of 2010 with this amount being at least halved!

My first ever Bench Monday! It took a lot of effort to balance on this scratching post given that I was sure it was going to collapse under my weight. Then again if it can support my giant baby cats weight....

While I was tidying up today I found a packet of Love Hearts under the bed and thought that I was in for a nice little treat. Until I opened them. I swear it hasn't been 'that' long since I tidied under the bed!

This is my shadow. Wherever I am Spooky Doo isn't far behind. It's tricky finding treats for Spooky because the only thing that I know she likes for sure, is me :) She's had quite a life, but that's for another picture, for now, enjoy her loveliness. she is one of the most delightful creatures I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

Work in Progress. I've wanted to be a writer since I was five. So far I've written four novels, two screenplays and submitted an episode of Star Trek: Voyager to Paramount (rejected.) This year I have decided that it's time to face my fear, whether it's of failure or success I don't know, but I'll never know unless I try, so time to get an agent and get on with my life and my lifes ambition!

Elvis Aron Presley was born on 8th January 1935. My own love affair with him began on 16th August 1987 and I can say without doubt that it will never end. Happy Birthday Elvis.

Along with most of the country I've been going stir crazy for the last few days. The snow has turned to treacherous ice and the streets are barely walkable. But today I just had to get out and I didn't care if I ended up in traction because of it. I headed into town just to feel the novelty of the sky above me and got there just in time for the glow of the sun to cast it's beautiful light upon St George's Hall. I think I speak for quite a few of us when I say we've had enough winter now.

Some of these toys I've had since I was five, some I got for Christmas but my general rule of thumb is pretty much that. The smaller the better. I can't tell you the number of cuddly toys which have ended up in a charity shop. I'm not heartless, but I have no use for a giant teddy bear!

Explore 11th Jan #367 As I was taking my shot for Bench Monday today, one of my cats decided to get in on the action.

I've had real problems today with my 365. I've taken lots of pics but haven't liked any of them. This was an eleventh hour shot that I liked because of the blown out sky which I thought made it look like a nuclear flash. Hopefully todays block won't happen too often this year!

In this continuing cold weather please remember to put food and water out for the birds. thank you.

Thursday night is knitting night! This is Sam having a go at knitting on double point needles and happy to report that it was a roaring success! Not only that but she's also inspired me to have a go. Go Sam!

I've been knitting since I was about five years old which means that I've been knitting for over 30 years. But I've never knitted on double point needles. Until today. Inspired by Sam, one of my fellow knitwits, who has been knitting for just two years, I picked up sticks and gave it a go. This is the result. A corn on the cob, complete with husk, made for an upcoming exhibition at Liverpool's World Museum. I'm rather pleased with myself. And I think it's kind of adorable.

In Botanic Walled Gardens I saw virtually no grafiti, except for this, the name of the love of my life! Is it a sign? Well a sign of good taste, yes. Either that or someone decided that they didn't care what other people thought, they were going to call their son Elvis anyway. Well done that person.
