Painting takes a long time when you factor in filling all the holes, sanding the trim, and 2 coats of primer before you even get to use any color.

While heading home along the highway I got to watch this stunning amazing moonrise of this HUGE,nearly full, blood red thing! Took too long finding a deserted overpass and the moon was too high by the time I got up there and set up, but 'eh, I think this one turned out otay anyway...
On our way to our women's soccer tournament in Fort Bragg, this was the sunset that we saw as we passed through Clear Lake!

Hawk in my back yard! I don't have any expensive lenses for my camera, but for situations like this one I wish I did. This is the Nikon at max zoom.
One for the Ladies
I was planning to keep up the Christmas decor photos but when I saw this I knew it had to be my photo of the day. tonight's moon, at about 830. Carter went out to walk the dog and came back in quite excited... 'Mom! Mom! The moon is HUGE and ORANGE!! Come see!!!' I of course followed, toting camera and tripod along. I don't have the best zoom for shots like this so it's slightly out of focus, but I didn't edit the color at all! This is SOOC and exactly how it looked in the sky. Super cool!!!
