Grabbing the last of the precious time I had with Owen_In_Boots at Tulsa airport.
1
My first cup of coffee in over a week, trying to ease me back in to spending most of my waking hours in the dark.
2
An unfortunate side-effect of the way I hang my pictures and the use of central heating is that the tape on the backings can come unstuck and they fall down. This is the collateral damage I discovered when coming back from my trip.
3
Yesterday it dawned on me that soon it'll be dark outside when I get up in the afternoon. I'm going to miss seeing the sun.
4
My somewhat neglected Schott's Miscellany calendar. Since I stopped working in an office with my own desk it stopped being part of my routine to flip it, so there it sits.
5
A last shot of my long hair before it gets cut tomorrow. I really like it like this, but it has to be trimmed sometime :(
6
When space on the sofa is limited, an ingenius dog must improvise...
7
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
8
In the words of my mother: 'No longer a woolly monster'
9
It seems the Pepsi packaging redesign hasn't made it over here yet. We still have the non-wonky logo and haven't adopted the minimalist background style.
10
Since it's (in Tesco's opinion) almost Christmas I bought some hazel nuts. We used to have them all the time at home, but I haven't tasted them for years. They're yummy!
11
The ever-growing pile of (sometimes other people's) odd socks from the laundry that I just can't bear to throw away in case I find the other one
12
My brothers Simon (on the right) and Andrew with Simon's girlfriend Alice at the quiz night we went to this evening.
13
My car, which I rarely get the chance to drive these days since I'm living in London.
14
It was such a fine day today I decided to get some pictures of my parents' garden. This is part of the pond area behind the house.
15
I noticed a curious difference with the UK Left 4 Dead 2 logo on this billboard today. The hand in our version has its palm towards you instead of away. I guess it's because otherwise it would be very close to a rude gesture over here.
16
I liked my picture from November 1st so much I printed it out and put it in a frame. It's my new favourite decoration!
17
Breaking into the Heinz monopoly over here, Branston (best known for their pickle) started making their own beans a while back. I actually prefer them.
18
I had thought that all of the flowers were gone from in front of my house, but this morning I suddenly noticed these two. When they appeared I don't know but I'm glad there's still some colour left.
19
Since I haven't opened this door in a while, it takes a bit of effort to get past the leaves that have built up.
20
I haven't had take-away food in quite some time, so I didn't feel guilty about going down the road for a chicken burger when I didn't feel like cooking today. It was surprisingly good.
21
Since it's been so wet in London recently, I thought it'd be a good idea to clean my shoes. Hopefully a fresh layer of polish will keep the water out more effectively.
22
A small section of what one of my video game reviews looks like whilst I'm putting it together in Vegas. I submitted this one last night and it should be available on RetrowareTV.com soon.
23
Finally getting fed up of only owning one bowl, I bought myself a whole new crockery set at the weekend. I think they're pretty stylish.
24
I got bored of being confined to taking photos of stuff in my room by the almost perpetual darkness I live in, so I bought myself a gorillapod to make it easier to get those long-exposure nighttime shots. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do with it.
25
Trying out the gorillapod with a long exposure shot of traffic. At some point I'll do another better one when there are fewer cars around, but this was good for a first try.
26
My first house growing up was about three minutes away from Horsell common, where the first of the cylinders lands in H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds.
27
There's nothing quite like having a real fire. One of my favourite things about winter.
28
It was raining so hard when I left my parents' house today I grabbed this baseball cap to keep my head a bit drier. It's been hanging in my room for almost a year now, and today was probably the first time I've worn it.
29
Some early Christmas presents came today, generously sent all the way from America by Modcast listener thebgbb. I wonder what's inside.
