I've only ever found Mike and Ikes in the vending machine at work, so when I saw a large packet in a shop at Waterloo station on Sunday, I had to buy it. They're all gone already :(
1
I took myself to see Fantastic Mr. Fox today, at the Odeon Leicester Square since that's one of the few places still showing it here. The little fair-ground set up in the square itself was really impressive
2
Two more posters, this time of two of my best loved TV shows. I think the Futurama one is my favourite poster of all, I just love the style of it.
3
Coming home from work this morning it was utterly cloudless with a beautiful Moon just starting to wane.
4
I have no idea what this building near Earl's Court is, but judging from the coloured lights on the side it must be a pretty nice place to work. Also, this is the first picture I've taken where I had to wait, sniper style, for the wind to drop before taking the shot in order to prevent blurring.
5
Ice skating at the Natural History museum in London, my brother Andrew doing his best to attract attention
6
My limited edition Multiwinia box arrived on Saturday, complete with copies of Darwinia, Multiwinia, postcards, an art book and these two foam Darwinians.
7
On my way back from the Post Office today I saw this unusual pillar box (usually they're much rounder). The stylised VR symbol on the front means it was put up during the reign of Queen Victoria, making it at least 108 years old.
8
What a wonderfully original name for a pub!
9
I decided to give up on the rather dull video game novel I've been toiling through for weeks and get started on something I actually want to read. I love H.P.Lovecraft!
10
Sega Christmas party at Namco Station on the South Bank gave me this amazing view walking home. One day I'll go back with my real camera and get a better shot; I'm amazed I almost managed three months before resorting to the phone camera!
11
The fuse in my lights went out yesterday, so I rigged up a sheet with my spare light to make it a bit less harsh until things are fixed
12
I haven't had a day where I've needed one of these as badly as I did today.
13
Bed just isn't the same since I started working nights. Both the prison that separates me from the light, and my escape when the world seems like too much to bear
14
My watch stopped today, but still I wear it out of habit.
15
It's not just outside that benefits from a good long-exposure picture!
16
My pioneering cure for a cold :)
17
Back at my parents' house for Christmas, things are looking very wintery outside.
18
Three sets of footprints; man, dog and deer. (Don't worry, they're unrelated. We don't hunt deer around here.)
19
Playing some Beatles Rock Band with Andrew
20
Whilst last-minute Christmas shopping today, I couldn't help but buy myself this Luigi figurine I saw in GAME. Be it Kart, Tennis, Party or whatever, he's my guy!
21
Shuttercal Day 100! I managed to get a picure of this very Christmasy robin; they don't sit still for long.
22
The smaller package from my picture on November 30th was this solitaire card game, Age of Heroes. It's pretty tough, but I think I'm getting the hang of it.
23
We're very traditional in my family. Christmas decorations only go up on Christmas eve. My brothers and I used to help, but these days we're usually still in bed :)
24
In case you were wondering, 24 years is not too old to get stockings on Christmas morning :)
25
And because we had goose yesterday at my aunt and uncle's house, we got the full turkey lunch made by my Mum today. So good!
26
Just one of the many pairs of brightly coloured socks I was given for Christmas
27
I borrowed my Dad's (unopened) copy of The Beatles stereo collection whilst I'm back in London this week. Now I'm sitting here ripping all 14 discs!
28
One of the things in my stocking was this Top Gear keyring of The Stig. I'm keeping it on its stand on my desk, as part of my slowly growing figurine collection.
29
Since I'm gathering all my figures together, I got this guy out from where he was hiding on the lower level of my computer desk. A Christmas present from last year, he's designed to sit in a cup holder in your car and spout catch-phrases whenever you go over a bump. I was never even slightly tempted to try that out!
30
Spent a quiet New Years playing games and watching Inglorious Basterds with Andrew
