Taking advantage of being out of the city to get a good shot of the night sky. Despite a degree in Astrophysics, Orion is still the only constellation I can recognise :D
1
Our favourite restaurant for going out to eat as a family. Tomorrow is Mum's birthday!
2
The model Dodge Viper I was given by a friend as a birthday present years ago.
3
I recruited this warm hat to help keep out the remaining winter cold.
4
My Christmas present from my brothers, the framed Tales of Monkey Island print signed by the makers of the game, plus Dominic Armato
5
More snow in London means I get a day off work. For any Americans, try not to laugh at how little snow it takes for this country to descend into chaos.
6
The signet ring I was given by my parents for my 21st birthday. I almost never take it off, and when I do it feels really weird.
7
For the first time in ages I went to a Game store on launch day to buy a game I had pre-ordered. I used to exclusively use Amazon, but recently they missed getting a game out to me on day one, and I work hours that let me pick the game up myself.
8
For the first time in four months I left my wrist band at home today. It's going to be hard letting go, but I have to try. I'm going to miss looking forward to seeing her again.
9
Even though it's mostly gone in London, the snow still lies heavy over my parents' garden.
10
I'm very glad I still haven't finished the Ferrerro Rocher I got for Christmas.
11
Moving along my wall of posters, and inspired by Sneakers' post from yesterday, this is my map of Middle Earth. You don't want to know how long I used to spend looking at it.
12
When I got out of work this morning it was snowing heavily again. Why couldn't it have done this when I was eight years old?
13
Every year Mum gives me another bottle of aftershave for Christmas, and every year I fail to use even half of it. They're starting to pile up a bit :)
14
I'm really looking forward to Mass Effect 2! I started my third playthrough of the first one in anticipation.
15
I braved the London rain to take a look around the Forbidden Planet Megastore. I didn't buying anything, but I saw some very cool stuff and ended up ordering something they didn't have off eBay.
16
Sometimes it's fun to dress up smart for no reason
17
After months of waiting, my Colonel Hoffman figure finally arrived! :)
18
The apron from a cooking course I went on a few summers ago. Still comes in handy on days like today when I make something a bit messy.
19
The eventual result of my trip to Forbidden Planet at the weekend is this awesome wounded Hellboy figure. I'm thrilled with it, but I think poor Hoffman might be a little jealous.
20
The Hellboy figure also came with this little canary. I don't have it on display with the figure because a) Hellboy's other hand is molded closed and b) the canary was in a completely different scene in the movie
21
My work pass. That's right, I play video games for a living :)
22
The old family Rover. After 11 years of faithful service, including three brothers learning to drive, trips to France and a journey to find the silliest named places in Britain, the old workhorse has been brought low by a faulty wiper motor that noone makes any more. Today we went to buy a new one.
23
Despite being incredibly delicious, Double Dips are becoming harder to find in news agents and sweet shops. Luckily Andrew bought a case of them a while back, and is generous enough to share. So good!
24
I bought some Tizer for my lunchbox last week as a change. They seem to have changed the recipe since I had it last and it's now absolutely disgusting. I'm thinking of mailing it to the guys at the Giant Bombcast, since they have a thing about sampling weird drinks from overseas.
25
Mass Effect 2 is out today in the US, but doesn't arrive here until Friday. I need to spend the week avoiding spoilers.
26
They've been digging up my road replacing the water mains over the past few weeks. I'm actually amazed at how little it's disrupted my ability to sleep during the day.
27
We found out today that pretty much everyone is being laid off at work. Feels like I've lost so much in so little time. This has not been a good month.
28
This is pretty much what I did all day. Tried not to rush too much when finishing up Mass Effect and then successfully importing my character into Mass Effect 2.
29
It says a lot about the life I've been leading that I've walked along this road dozens of times, but only today noticed this interesting church.
30
I had a nice roast beef lunch at this little cafe down the road from my place today. I've been there a few times, and living up to its continental aspirations the food is good but the service is a bit slow.
