Enjoying the view
We've had a good bit of rain lately...been wanting to get outside a bit to work on aperture settings but haven't had much of a chance...anyway this is of a my knockout rose bush...love how nice and sharp the water droplets are but the flower could have been a bit sharper.

My neighbor's African Grey.
Another bird that belongs to my neighbor.
This is Nick's rose. He was a special Samoyed who has been gone for a long time, but in no way forgotten. My best friend bought this rose to plant in my garden in memory of him. Nick was a very serious dog, but his rose is lighthearted, sometimes blooming bright yellow, sometimes soft peach. If it ever stops raining, I'm going to dust it with some rose powder. That's all it ever needs, year after year.
This is what happens when the bud from 5/4 is in bloom.
Aren't these the coolest?! The iridescent lights hanging from the ceiling of the entrance way to our hotel resemble jellyfish.
I've noticed these sunflowers quite a few times, they're growing next to a small restaurant down the street from where I live. I pass by them every time I drive down to the high school. Today I finally stopped to take a few pictures. I liked this one more than the standard full on shots I got. Really loved the detail of the center... looks like a bunch of itty bitty flowers. These were some HUGE sunflowers, bigger than my head!! Very cool up close.
Not sure how to explain this one!!!

We have this tiny rose bush in the front near the street that just keeps putting out 1 to 3 flowers off-and-on all summer long ... with the most delicate colors.
the last of the flowers around here, most have gone into hiding for the coming winter. I'll miss them... but can't wait for the snow!! :)

The smell equals the beauty.
Wait a second. The soccer game is behind you. Quit taking photos of colorful vines and pay attention to the waving kids. :o)
How can you not love fall when you can be surrounded by mums like this? Love this color. It's probably why half my fall wardrobe is this exact hue.
It's been raining quite a bit today, and the flood watches are set to be active until way into the evening.
Decorating for the party...
I love summer, but cannot wait for the fall colors to appear. Usually I like the the reds, oranges and yellows without the white. However, I will take what I can get.
Yep, another bee picture, gotta take em while I can
The person who originally said 'Beauty fades.' and all those that believe it are merely stuck in falsely cemented ideas of what beauty is. Beauty never fades, it transforms, it changes, it morphs into something else beautiful. Everything in the universe is in motion, nothing is stagnant why should your idea of beauty be any different?
OK it's only a simple pine cone in a bed of dried leaves, but it brings out the Druid in me.
