Went out to a family gathering for lunch, I brought mini crab stuffed potatoes and a pasta salad, we had Bhelpuri (it was my first time trying it) which I really enjoyed, and a lot of other Indian dishes.
1
For dinner, I decided to make a crab salad on fresh bread, with an arugula salad. It was delicious!
2
My grandma gave me a bit of money for Christmas, so I went out and bought a few books to read (I haven't read any of them yet). It's been REALLY snowing out, with no sign of it stopping, so I'm going to curl up and read.

This is a post card I designed myself, I joined up with something called PostCrossing and this will be my first post card that I send. I'm looking forward to getting one in return from a random person some where around the world! It's a neat project, and one of my 101 tasks in 1001 days that I want to accomplish.

It was really dang hard to take a picture, as it's a metallic image beneith black, and I scratched the image into the paper. Annoying, but fun! I hope the lady I'm sending it to enjoys it!
4
Princess, wrapped up in her latest toy, she will not leave this thing alone, she grooms it and drags it everywhere (it's so slimy and gross).
5
Picked up my new ipod touch today! Anyone have any app suggestions? So far I've got the basics, there are just SO many out there! Teehee. Oh yes, and those temperatures on the weather app are in C not F, it's very cold here!
6
Testing out the zoom lens, this little black squirrel is quite far away from me, 11 floors down and across the street, at a school yard. The focal length is 300mm but on my 35mm it converts to 600mm 1/320 sec shutter, F.No F7.1 ISO 100.
7
Sunset last night was just wonderful. It was nice to see before I get buried with even more snow.
8
Went out to the experimental farm here in Ottawa to try to catch some pictures of the deer. I'm really far away from them using the zoom lens, and it was REALLY cold out, but I had fun.
9
Yep, another beautiful sunset!
10
11
Everyone loves feet (they're not my feet, but it was fun to take pictures of)!
12
The other half took the day off work 'just because' so we went out for lunch at a new deli not far from my place, the prices were a little steep, but the food was delicious.
13
camera is on the floor pointed up under my desk, cat refuses to leave lap today, no matter how much I wiggle. Send cookies, I'm hungry and can't move.
14
Eager for the snow to melt, and to be able to see grass again, and leaves! Ah yes, leaves. How I miss you.
15
The latest issue of Beckett MOG (#23) hit stands this week, even though I've been writing for them for two years, I still get all excited when I see my stuff in print.
16
I don't drink coffee in the morning, but I do like to have 1 around 2pm (afternoons are not my thing at all). This is a great cupboard in my house, teehee. I love my tassimo coffee maker.
17
18
The weather here has warmed up over the last week or so, hovering around the freezing mark. It's the perfect temperature for snow (as seen here, at night).
19
What a perfect day.
20
That's ok, I didn't want to get any work done today anyhow...

The cat (her name is Princess) takes up almost my entire body when she sits on me, she's huge. I'm buried under her, some where.
21
Absolutely beautiful outside.
22
Honestly, I think this is the most amazing picture I've ever taken before.

Make: OLYMPUS IMAGING CORP.
I made sushi for the first time today, and it turned out *delicious* I'll be making a lot more of that in the future. YUM!
24
Anyone seen my cat?
25
And thus is my week.
26
Went from snowing fairly heavily, to sunshine, back to snowing heavy again. Gotta love winter.
27
I got my first postcard from Postcrossing last night! It came all the way from Tokyo, Japan. I'm really enjoying this project, and I'm looking forward to getting more postcards from all over the world.

Click here to see card details.

It was -25F (-32c) and 5:45am but I couldn't help sneaking outside for some full moon pictures, the sky was clouded over all night and I was sad that I wouldn't be able to get any good shots. Glad to see I was wrong! I love the spider-web like craters in the picture. Still learning to take proper moon shots. I'm sure I'll get better.

Make: OLYMPUS IMAGING CORP.
The other half ordering lunch for us at Quiznos (which is just awesomeness here in Ottawa). It was REALLY cold out, but I had fun going shopping and buying new books to read.
30
Apparently, I am supposed to read this. It's part of my 'culture learning' experience, since I have never seen Star Wars before.
