The giant beast appeared suddenly, leaping in one gigantic bound to the top of Sofa Mountain. One pilot stayed as the others fled, to attack the beast in her flimsy, brightly-colored wooden airplane. She would have just one chance to distract the creature before it slapped her from the sky with a bat of its mighty paw. But maybe that moment of distraction would allow the people of the village below Sofa Mountain to reach safety.

I wrote a program that simulates pointillism. There are 22000 10x10 dots of various colors in this picture of the State House in Concord, New Hampshire.

The last of my digitally re-imagined photographs. This program starts out with huge brush strokes and uses finer and finer brushes as it goes on -- in random colors. I wrote a modification that used colors found in the image itself, but the resulting picture was too much like the source. This one pops. It is the Granite State Candy Shoppe in Concord, NH... they make their own candy! A place of wonder and joy for any kid growing up in Concord. (Concord, NH is my home town...)
