Having finished a Project 365, I'm shooting for even more fun and the occasional theme week when things are less fun. Also, I swear that this year I'll program some functional apps to use with ShutterCal!

Today is a Palo Alto / Montain View day. I'm visiting with Dorothy from Delaware (bottom), who moved out to California shortly after I did, and got to meet her friend Amy, who's an Oklahaman transplant to Sacremento. I also met up with another friend off the Intarwebs and we ended up getting some Mexican soda; so goood. (Lumix DMC-FZ28)

I'm hitting up Berkeley (my friend Elise), San Francisco (my friend Laura), and ... some theatre in the city (yeah, it just looked cool). (Lumix DMC-FZ28)
2
Hello, sagebrush. Hello, cactus. Hello, Jeanne Schaser! Looks like I found a new home for the next few months.. once I round up an apartment. (Lumix DMC-FZ28)
3
I am apparently living in a small town in Arizona. (Lumix DMC-FZ28)
4
I got home this afternoon and saw a threatening cloud approaching. Rumble ... rumble .. splatter ... drpdrpdrpdrpdrpdrpdrp. Desert dirt doesn't handle rain too well, guys. (Lumix DMC-FZ28)
5
This is theoretically a school, but it sure looked like a prison. (Lumix DMC-FZ28)
6
Up on First Street, overlooking some farm land (Lumix DMC-FZ28)
7
Recycling, trash, ... hummingbird feeder fail. Seriously, are there hummingbirds in Arizona? (Lumix DMC-FZ28)
8
Stop! nom-nom time! Seriously, though, what is New York-style Chinese buffet? Is it any different from regular West Coast-style Chinese buffet? I haven't been to either this buffet or any in California, so I don't have any idea. amperes, you've lived on both coasts; whaddaya think?
9
It rained a couple days ago, but there's still some pretty epic puddles on the ground. (Lumix DMC-FZ28)
10
Dang, it is windy today. YES, BITCHES, THAT IS SOME TUMBLEWEED. (Lumix DMC-FZ28)
11
It seems some shit's been going down in the town of Thatcher -- it must be campaigning season. (Lumix DMC-FZ28)
12
I've been ogling these old-timey trucks all over town from afar and today, when I was about to go to the store, one pulled up in front of my apartment. I chatted with the guy who owned it; he said he's been keeping it running for over 30 years! (Lumix DMC-FZ28)
13
There's all sorts of random crap on the side of 8th St, which is a couple miles long and runs straight from downtown past my apartment. (Lumix DMC-FZ28)
14
I got a phone call this morning: 'This is Home Depot. We'd like you to come in to give you a job offer. When are you available?' Well, is after lunch good? It sure was! They're offering me $8/hr to be ... a parking lot wench with quick opportunities to work in whatever department needs help. Sounds like fun! Now I just have to wait for my background checks to go through.. (Lumix DMC-FZ28)
15
Although it's desert country, there's still plenty of farms out here, which means lots of irrigation systems. I see one of these probably every half-mile, although I only see this one filling the canal along my street. (Lumix DMC-FZ28)
16
I've been in a bit of an old-timey mood all today, since I sat out in the sun and read Gone with the Wind all afternoon until I noticed the sun setting and went to grab my camera. This truck lives outside the apartment building next door to my little suite. (Lumix DMC-FZ28)

One pebble against Walmart. (Yes goddammit it's an artfag shot.) (Lumix DMC-FZ28)
