Steph and I hung out in a magical forest for the afternoon and enjoyed life. I'm clearly under an influence.

One of Jaymie's bathrooms is painted bright yellow and I love it. I thought it would look good with my shirt.

My hair turned such a strange shade of orange while I was in Rochester.

This was while Jaymie and I were driving to the playground to take pictures, but when we got there, there were too many children around, so we went to dinner instead.

140 Secret Portraits<br><br>

I was reading my new LIFE photography book on the plane coming home, so while I was waiting for a ride I felt all inspired and was taking pictures of all the people also waiting for rides. It was really fun. I didn't want anyone to notice though, so I just had my camera in my lap and was taking them all secretly. =P Then I took one of myself secretly to fit the trend.

Steph, Jaci and I went to the ocean. I didn't bring my camera cause I didn't want to get sand in it, but Steph had hers, so I used it.

142 Why So Serious?<br><br>

For weeks I've been planning to dress up like the Joker for today to get amped for <i>The Dark Knight</i>, but when the day finally came I had to work, and not only couldn't see the movie, but didn't have time to really dress up for it. I settled for smeared lipstick as an homage before I went to work, it was a lot faster.

143 Once Upon a Time<br><br>

This was actually taken the next day at 3am. There have been a couple photos I took slightly after midnight, like at 12:15 or something, and I don't think it's cheating because I'm a night person and I'm on a different schedule, so to me and my body, I'm still on the same day. However, while this is pushing it a little as far as waiting too long, I also feel it deserves to be shared. I'd just come home and was crashing from being high, and you can just tell how fucking tired and worn out I am. All I wanted to do was go to bed but I didn't want to drop the ball on the project.

My hair is pink for the first time in 9 years. It was the first color I ever dyed my hair, back when I was 11. Aww! =P Anyway, while I was in Rochester I asked Jaymie to pick a color for me, just for fun, just for a slight break from red. I'll go back to red once this fades out.

I'm half happy with this because I feel like I got my point across, and half happy because it amuses the fuck out of me. The way my hair falls onto my face makes me look like I have a crazy witch nose and it's making me laugh too much to write a real description.

Sometimes I wonder how to photograph <i>the real me</i>. What does it mean? Does it mean something candid (like this) or does it mean something staged where I'm really expressing the world that exists inside me? Is this the real me because it's who you'd see out in the world, or is it the façade hiding my true nature? When I do horror photos, is it a fleeting morbid impulse or what really lives within?

I can never tell which one of us is telling the truth.

I don't remember finding this in a cookie, but I found it while cleaning my room. A few hours later I found out that one of my photos is being published in JPG Magazine. Maybe they're really real.

150 Diadem<br><br><i>Diadem</i> is dictioary.com's word of the day. it's another word for a crown.

Maybe because I've had bangs for most of my life, I feel very uncomfortable if my hair isn't in my face in some way. It doesn't have to be like all shaggy all over the place, but I need a strand or two in my eye or I feel exposed and naked. I don't really like pictures of myself where my hair isn't in my face, either. Weird.
