Frosty is feeling a little deflated now that the holidays are over...
1
Sadly, it's time to clean off Charlie Brown and paint something new on the tiny window in the door to the classroom. Bye Charlie!
2
My most daunting resolution of the New Year is to participate in the 365 challenge and to learn how to use my new camera. Say cheese!
3
Challenge of the day: fill the rectangular frame with a circular object. Kind of like putting a round peg in a square hole =)
4
Today's challenge: reflection in water. All outside water is still frozen here (brrr) so closest I could find is our aquarium =)
5
Daily Challenge: Photograph a source of light. With all the freezing temps of late, a hearty fire in the fireplace has been a must.
6
Snow before Christmas is fairly rare here. We still have remnants from the 14+ inches of snow from last month, even in front of our local ice cream parlor.
7
These are a few of my favorite things . . .
8
Pretty bleak scenery this time of year!
9
winter sunset
10
mad about red!
11
Call our house and likely you'll hear some kind of music in the background. All three kids play instruments, and they all began by taking piano lessons.
12
Brrrrr!
13
Ducks were out on the pond today and I liked the contrast between one duck up close with his buddies out in the distance.
14
Today's challenge was to take a photo of two lines converging - we have a lot of railroad tracks near us so that seemed like the perfect choice!
15
This bizarre trailer showed up the other day behind a convenience store. It appears to be an old diner just abandoned. It looks like if you walked in the cast of Happy Days could be having a milkshake!
16
I like the way it almost looks like the basset hound is smiling for the camera.
17
Today's assigment: simplicty. I like the simple pleasure of trying to make shapes out of fluffy clouds :)
18
Today's challenge: take a photo of some type of transportation. I liked this form of 'transportation' found in the skate rental booth at our local ice skating rink.
19
Flags of the world hanging in a local church, showcasing the need for missionary work worldwide.
20
Today's Challenge: Take a picture of something that makes you go hmmm. When I saw this zebra table it definitely made me go hmmm!
21
Today's challenge was to take a photo representing a song - this shot reminded me of the Bangles, 'Just another Manic Monday,' as some crazy days mean fast food instead of a homecooked meal!
22
Today's challenge was to take a picture of a collection. This was an easy choice as I'm an avid Wizard of Oz fan =)
23
Students summarized material from our last chapter and made a giant wordle that we turned into a bulletin board - talk about a word wall!
24
Daily challenge: make a photo with intersecting lines. This elevated area is just full of power lines - they don't look quite as ugly with the sky changing colors!
25
Today's challenge was a picture from a bird's perspective - I went the other day and looked up at a couple of our trees - they sure look bare in the middle of January!
26
Today's challenge was to do something abstract. I took this photo in an elevator and the thinking is kind of abstract - what does it really mean if the shoe DOESN'T fit???
27
Today's assignment was about the economy and the impact it's having. With gas prices skyrocketing we certainly have cut down on any unnecessary driving!
28
Annapolis at night
29
Today's challenge: Make a photo of an architectural detail. I took this Thursday of a drawbridge on the way back from Baltimore. I guess it's the math teacher in me that loves all the crazy angles!

Thirteen inches of snow has made travel a real challenge!
