I know I will surprise myself as well as those who know me if I can continue this project, but one thing I do know is that it makes you look at your day totally differently. I am more 'on the lookout' for moments to capture or symbolic representations of the day. That discipline alone creates an appreciation for life as it is--in the moment.

Name:

M. Cuttill-Price

About Me:

I know I will surprise myself as well as those who know me if I can continue this project, but one thing I do know is that it makes you look at your day totally differently. I am more "on the lookout" for moments to capture or symbolic representations of the day. That discipline alone creates an appreciation for life as it is--in the moment.

I am starting my 365 project this day--why?? well, because it was the day I learned of the project. Our lives are always full and today is just like that. 'C' had a track meet--which--if you don't know lasts hours and hours. It is his first year of track. I am proud that he enjoys it because, at his age, I did not. I believe this is an active decision on his part to be healthy.

This is Kaleb--he is a remarkable young man. In fifth grade he needed a heart transplant and miraculously received one. He is as 'normal' as any 6th grader--except someone else's heart beats inside his body. I don't think we 'get it' sometimes. I am honored to be his teacher--and he is an inspiration to me---everyday.

Rainy Afternoon in Central Illinois - one of those days where all you want to do is nap and read and perhaps eat... Spending the afternoon napping, writing and reading always rejuvenates my mind and spirit.

'I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing.' Ezekiel34:26

This is the front door of the 'Cuttill-Price Home for Wayward Boys'. We are full at the moment--occupancy full...

Sometimes life is simply putting out fires---one after the other...

Mosaic--life is that way sometimes. We think all of our scattered pieces don't make sense or have no way to become beautiful--when in fact they are. Together our 'life mosaic' creates a beautiful tapestry of love and hope and family.

Most of my life this past week has been spent in my car, driving in the middle of 'God knows where' to a track meet to sit for 'God knows how long'. Today was just another one of those days. I didn't know where the track field was in Le Roy, Illinois. HECK, I didn't even know where Le Roy, Illinois was--but as luck would have it, I happened upon a Le Roy school bus and followed it---straight to the field. Providence at it's best.

Today was DARE graduation--my 15th graduation (at least). I am proud of the kids and hope what they learned will carry them through adulthood making wise and positive decisions for their lives.

Along our journey, Kent and I have befriended many others on the road of widowhood. It is the friendship these folks, who traveled the road before us and have begun the journey after, who we cherish. Here's to Steve and Eileen! 'A JOURNEY IS BEST MEASURED IN FRIENDS RATHER THAN MILES.'

Happy Birthday Kent!!! This was a card from my nephew Riley to Kent. If you open it up, it has three rows of 'build your own character' that Riley created. It is gifts like these that are priceless, but he also really 'dug' his new Keen hiking sandals.

These are our 'other children': Joey and Chelsie

Another band concert--let's see how many have I sat through--and I love them all. The drummers in my house rocked!

The 'Cuttill' sisters-in-law. I don't think we have ever had our picture taken together!

TECH 2009 at the Springfield State Capitol--highlighting technology integration in Illinois schools. It was a wonderful day. I gained perspective and many creative ideas. I can't wait to integrate them.
