It was snowraining today. Went outside and took some pics, but just ended up getting soaked and frustrated trying to keep drops of slush off lens. Came inside and went for the orchid in my bedroom. Slush stuff on Flickr. :-P

I had to get rid of the creepy sculpture kids that I originally posted for the day; I couldn't stand looking at that girl every time I opened up my calendar. So this is one of the dorms at APSU that I shot on the same day. Messing with polar coordinates.

It was a gorgeous-weather, cyclicious weekend ... out today with Mason and husband, Mark. (Last bike pic for a few days, I promise).

Last days of Spring Break. Oldest son, Mason: 19 yrs old, physics geek, cyclist, video gamer, all-around good kid and a true blessing.

iPhone. A pretty stinky photo ... heading out of town, a day of packing. Necessities: helmet, ski boots, camera, and a few clothes. Off to CO for a week. Will be taking lots of pics, but not sure of ability to edit & post, so there may be a temporary void in my calendar. But I should be able to view friends, so looking forward (as always) to the amazing inspiration. (I'll be back ;)

First day in the mountains. In all the years we have been coming here, we've skied thru lots of weather, from blizzards to sub-zero temps - but have NEVER been unable to ski because of high winds. Today was a first. All of the ski lifts from the gondola to the chairlifts were closed due to crazy gusting winds, up to 115 knots. Major disappointment, but wouldn't have wanted to been up there with chairs swinging into lift stanchions. So we headed into town, killed some time at one of the outfitters; the picture is of aluminum backcountry/avalanche snow shovels (not that I will be anywhere to need one - I just liked the color ;). Hopefully tomorrow will bring more agreeable weather.
