I got my 2nd postcrossing postcard today! It's from Las Vegas!<br><br><a href='http://www.postcrossing.com/postcards/US-589643'>Details about postcard here</a>.

I picked up a handful of Postcards to send via postcrossing - they'll go out to random people all over the world, and then I'll get postcards from random people back. It's one of my 'goals' for 101 things in 1001 days to send 10 of these out and get 10 back. I love little projects like this.

Today my postcrossing postcard came from Russia! I was very excited to get it.

Winterlude, Hands for Hati. This was a human chain built along the Rideau Canal, which is the longest man made skating rink in the world. It was amazing to see so many people involved while they raised money for a fantastic cause.

Beaver tails - the best winter food in the world. Apparently in the US these are called Elephant ears?

Ice sculptures are a huge part of Winterlude. I didn't get to see the really awesome ones because the people were packed too thick, but I still had a blast.

Dinner! veal parmesan on fresh home made buns with some sushi I made. It's all very delicious!

Home made spaghetti and sauce with angus meatballs. The garlic bread (also home made) isn't quite ready yet, still in the oven. Nom nom.
