Jack doesn't know I took his picture.
This is a difficult game.
Sad story about the Red Sox...
I guess they like Punk, noise and destruction. I still think punk nose destruction makes for a more interesting band name.
My son got a new bed from my parents as an early Christmas gift. It rained all day yesterday and he didn't have school due to a teacher work day, so he spent all day in his new bed watching movies. What a life. He LOVES his new bed. (the quilt has been ordered and it's on the way :)
The lurking monster strikes again

October

Right this way...I don't know what this sign was here for, but I liked it
We went to take a second look at a house we'd like to buy and found this on the second floor of the barn.
My son Ryne has a message to get out....:P

A beautiful Japanese garden in a little country town in Australia :) We went to the Carnival of Flowers today. I took so many photos but I haven't even looked at most of them yet, as I spent about 5 hours today driving!
Remember that game 'duck, duck, goose'? This injured goose has no other defense but to duck.

This is why I am no longer allowed to posses, touch, or be within ten feet of anything sharp. And no, that is not ketchup.
New CD from my pal Justin Duerr (frontman for Northern Liberties) and his new side project the Auric Doves of Avalon. #7 of 50 numbered copies, each with its own hand-drawn cover.
Consumation through stone
We only have one child. None of the bikes pictured here belong to him. At least one of us has got a social life...

July

If suffering brought wisdom, the dentist’s office would be full of luminous ideas.

There is not a lot of things I hate more then the dentist. Unfortunately, I had to see mine today. Also, I got a hair cut. I wish I hadn't added the extra layers.
plumeria
Have you ever seen playing cards as RAD as these?
Finally it has stopped raining. Thankfully we have this ceiling fan to circulate some air in the room. I will never let Trading Spaces or any other HGTV show come take my ceiling fan away!!!
The latest addition to the mouthpiece family! Woooooopa. Retails at £230.00, bought for £60.00 off ebay!!
Vision

After all of the hustle and bustle of the week behind, it was soooooooooo good to have a day where I could just laze around in my pajamas!
I did nothing! I wasn't even on the computer for a long time...
Didn't go out (whao!) or nothing :D
Played music and went along with time; I wouldn't call it boring, I'd call it relaxing!

And it gave my poor feet a rest :aww:

Picture taken a while ago near Grindelwald. Nice place. Near Launceston. Swiss village styled.

Puppy portrait at the pride parade. It was pouring for awhile there.
A Year With Luke And Sandy
I have the most kick ass friend. He shipped me this for a birthday present and my birthday isn't until August!
A bench at Michigan State University in the botanical garden. It had an older feel which I thought was interesting considering it was next to the much more modern library.

The girls on the climbing wall at Family Fun Night at their school. I took the one of Madison on the right, my husband took the other. I hadda stick the pics together cause Brooklyn had a fit when I said I was only putting her sister's picture up...lol

EXPLANATION:

Gorgeous little koala called Paul... having a snooze in his gumtree.
Taken at Sydney Wildlife Park. Hard to imagine there is this little, serene sanctuary in the middle of a huge, bustling city.
This was the first photo I took of Paul the koala, after we were let into his cage.
Lovely.
Old photo, camera still broke.

I went out for icecream with my family.

The poster above my bed that reminds me how bad things could be so when I reflect on my life, the things I'm unhappy about are dwarfed by the realization of how truly lucky I am.
EXPLANATION:

This is taken at the museum and arts gallery in Hobart.
Shot on Sunday, I thinks..
So, I thought this one looked rather nice :)
If I had all the money in the world, I would buy this painting!

March

my dad really likes cars! can't believe we get to borrow this for a few days!
I played Guitar Hero all night by myself while Micki was at work. I took this picture by taping the camera to the ceiling fan, turning the time delay on, and then spinning the fan blades. I got a few pictures of my bed and stuff but I liked the way this shot came out.
After a long day of drawing, working on school work, and cleaning we can see what I like to do...

January

This is what i get to see on nice clear days. I love it. Im not used to seeing all these mountains cuz I'm from Chicago. I'm used to skyscrapers and Smog. But I'm kicking my self because i made the mistake of not checking the ISO. (doh!) so all my pics were a bit noisy. And i have no idea why the foreground is a tad blurry but the Mt. is in focus. O well. At least i got to try out my New CP filter. =
a night out with the boys
A big tree in the neighbourhood, with storm clouds in the background. I want to go and sit on this park bench sometime.
Brisbane City. It's strange to think that I might not be living here anymore after next month.
Back to work after taking the rest of my vacation days for 2007. I actually came back yesterday but whatever. This is the building where I work being reflected off itself over and over again.

postcard

Q- How much text can these postcards hold?
A- 500 characters. That's about 3 average size paragraphs.

Q- I noticed I can write more than the actual area on the card, how does that work?
A- The text area on your screen is slightly different then the print area of the actual card. Don't worry, your
message will fit on the card completely intact.

Q- Will the card include a link to my original photo?
A- Yes. Take a look in the lower right corner of the card. A link to your calendar and the image you are sending will be included there.

Q- How comparable are ShutterCal postcards to the look and feel of traditional postcards?
A- Honestly, ShutterCal postcards are superior to the average card you'd find in a store. They are printed on thick premium paper with top quality inks. They also have a beautiful glossy finish that makes the image pop while adding a extra layer of protection to the photo.

Noteable Notes:
Postcards go through the riggers of postal system!
These are high quality images passing through the crazy mail sorting machines of the world. Your cards are going to look great, but keep in mind that they are going to get stamped, postmarked, and handled. It all adds to the characteristics that make postcards great!

Postcards have unpredictable delivery times:
We did some tests and are amazed by the results! You could see your postcards reaching their destinations within 3 days! Other times your cards can take 2+ weeks to arrive ...postcards are just crazy like that.

Postcards are fun, but customized postcards are amazing!:
Your photography changes everything! It's always been neat to send or receive a postcard, but your photo instead of a default stock image is going to add an impressive amount of fun.
