December 4 - <b>Circus</b><br><i>Las Vegas, NV</i><br><br>
In my 25 or so trips to Vegas, I've never been to Circus Circus. I went to the one in Reno when I was a kid, but never in Vegas. It wasn't that exciting. :-P We saw a show with a clown, where all he did was juggle. Exciting.
Christmas tokens from academic staff are starting to come in. Nothing says 'I'm sorry I was so impossible to work with and made your life more difficult than it needed to be' like a chocolate reindeer.
Snow in Houston, and the earliest we've ever had it! It snowed off and on for hours, but none of it really stuck downtown. This stuff is hard to photograph!

December 6

Second photo shoot with bassist, Kevin Johnson. He's really starting to love modeling.
Sara's a bit hard on her toys. We have a one-armed barbie, a pony with the mane and tail cut off and a headless barbie. To be fair, the headless barbie is a fake and to dress it in some of the clothes that came with it you DO have to pull off the head and then put it back on after the clothes are on. This teaches bad habits though so Sara has another headless barbie with a head that won't go back on.

Day 25: 'Will Shoot For Milk & Cookies'<br><br>
I've got nothing exciting to shoot today, so I shot this. Hang off of the mirror in our entryway, and I thought giving it an old Holga look would hearken us back to our childhood....
Ive been horrible about updating lately. Its because I am working on an animation project all this week. When I work freelance with tight deadlines its like everything else stops and my sleep schedule gets crazy. today I woke up at 6pm and went to... dinner... breakfast? with Amperes. We found a great Shabu-Shabu place and stuffed our gills.
Cold night ... but hot, home-made pizza! Pepperoni, pineapple, onion and tomato. YUM! Thanks Janet!
Sunny winter day

December 13

Spent some time with Laura and Steve at their place in SF prepping for their Christmas party...gave them an ornament to celebrate their first Christmas as The Handleys.
You never know when you might need to download something from a card these days...
We went way out into the desert this morning where the American Indian had one of the last strong holds in Calif. Once upon a time this place was magical, there was their writing here and there , it was wonderfl. In the last 10 years popel have gone there and all but destroyed it. You can see where people have tried to chip out some of the art. There used to be a couple nice signs in the area telling people what was there, people have shot the signs full of holes and the other one is totally gone.. Anyway, I think this natural rock formation looks just like an Indian Chief's head looking down in total disgust .. At least that's what I get out of it.

I was a busy gal today and didn't get to take any photos. But, I did go for a good run! To mark the occasion I decided to post this picture of signs Holly and I made for our cheerleaders to hold when we ran the Spirit of Pittsburgh Half Marathon in November. Go Team Reservoir Zombies!

Apparently my dog is too good to sit on the ground. She must watch the world go by from her throne (aka the rough-hewn bench my husband made.)
This is my version of going and looking at christmas lights! It is beautiful and fun, but dizzying. --Festival of Lights, Jordan Vally Park, Springfield Mo.

Tonight's the night... i packed for our second trip to Tennessee this week because my mom forgot my laptop in Jojo's car. I was so devastated because I use my laptop a lot and I didn't know how long i would be without it. Now I have been using her laptop for the entire week and I hate having to share. I can't wait to go tomorrow to get it. Although I will miss my dad and brother on this trip!

Parent's went with the grandkids to see the Festival of Lights. I stayed home, but they borrowed the camera. This one makes me nostalgic.
This is the most money I've ever had. And I'm putting it all (minus £20) in the bank, until I set up a savings account for my camera.
<br>Lesson of the day: Seeing the faces of bankers when you ask about the interest rates they offer for their accounts and how it changes over time is priceless.

We saw lots of great scenery while skiing at Loon today, but the only decent picture I took was of the way the massive roof beams are attached to the side walls.<br><i>(The beams are ~6' thick -- across the narrowest dimension.)</i>

postcard

Q- How much text can these postcards hold?
A- 500 characters. That's about 3 average size paragraphs.

Q- I noticed I can write more than the actual area on the card, how does that work?
A- The text area on your screen is slightly different then the print area of the actual card. Don't worry, your
message will fit on the card completely intact.

Q- Will the card include a link to my original photo?
A- Yes. Take a look in the lower right corner of the card. A link to your calendar and the image you are sending will be included there.

Q- How comparable are ShutterCal postcards to the look and feel of traditional postcards?
A- Honestly, ShutterCal postcards are superior to the average card you'd find in a store. They are printed on thick premium paper with top quality inks. They also have a beautiful glossy finish that makes the image pop while adding a extra layer of protection to the photo.

Noteable Notes:
Postcards go through the riggers of postal system!
These are high quality images passing through the crazy mail sorting machines of the world. Your cards are going to look great, but keep in mind that they are going to get stamped, postmarked, and handled. It all adds to the characteristics that make postcards great!

Postcards have unpredictable delivery times:
We did some tests and are amazed by the results! You could see your postcards reaching their destinations within 3 days! Other times your cards can take 2+ weeks to arrive ...postcards are just crazy like that.

Postcards are fun, but customized postcards are amazing!:
Your photography changes everything! It's always been neat to send or receive a postcard, but your photo instead of a default stock image is going to add an impressive amount of fun.
