Sam playing Leapster. He loves that thing and would play it 24/7 if allowed. Cars is his favorite game today.
I have moved the little table in chairs that she got for Christmas in to the kitchen. I spend so much time in there I thought she would enjoy it, and she does. Doesn't she look like such a big girl sitting there!
One of my latest addictions. With thanks to my girlfriend for getting me addicted to this stuff!
Sparkly Pink Pig. For Christmas all Kaylie asked for was glue, scissors and paper...she got about 15 bottles of glitter glue, packs upon packs of paper and her lovely pink scissors. She uses it all daily to make her 'crafts'.
This drum belongs to my friend, Rikki, a member of the Coast Salish nation. She came to sschool today and spoke to the grade fours about First Nations, and sang and played her drum for the kids.

February 20

Tonight I suprised Potato by taking her to disney on ice. She was thrilled! We had perfect seats. I love seeing her not able to physically contain her excitment. she was laughing, screaming, dancing, and smiling the entire time. It would have been perfect if I had not forgot my camera battery. This is from my iphone.
These can get surprisingly get you very drunk!
Lake Tekapa - glacial melted water gives it this really bright turquoise colour. It was extraordinary.
This is part of my life because of my husband! Jay loves just about anything that will burn your mouth to smitherines and make it so you can't taste anything for days. I've learned not to just ask him if it's hot, but instead if I would think it was hot before tasting.

Three little cousins sitting on the couch!
This is totally a cheat. Worked at DNA again, saw a ton of dance people I know for the closing of Laura Peterson's show (see earlier this week), then went to LAVA's performance in Park Slope (upcoming review in Brooklyn Rail!) Anyway, they weren't naked; this is more of a 'Dance Films Association has the darndest things...' shot

They like to cuddle.
Rocky, sleeping on his back. It's a good thing he was sleeping because if his eyes were open, he'd never be able to see past those big floppy lips anyways.

postcard

Q- How much text can these postcards hold?
A- 500 characters. That's about 3 average size paragraphs.

Q- I noticed I can write more than the actual area on the card, how does that work?
A- The text area on your screen is slightly different then the print area of the actual card. Don't worry, your
message will fit on the card completely intact.

Q- Will the card include a link to my original photo?
A- Yes. Take a look in the lower right corner of the card. A link to your calendar and the image you are sending will be included there.

Q- How comparable are ShutterCal postcards to the look and feel of traditional postcards?
A- Honestly, ShutterCal postcards are superior to the average card you'd find in a store. They are printed on thick premium paper with top quality inks. They also have a beautiful glossy finish that makes the image pop while adding a extra layer of protection to the photo.

Noteable Notes:
Postcards go through the riggers of postal system!
These are high quality images passing through the crazy mail sorting machines of the world. Your cards are going to look great, but keep in mind that they are going to get stamped, postmarked, and handled. It all adds to the characteristics that make postcards great!

Postcards have unpredictable delivery times:
We did some tests and are amazed by the results! You could see your postcards reaching their destinations within 3 days! Other times your cards can take 2+ weeks to arrive ...postcards are just crazy like that.

Postcards are fun, but customized postcards are amazing!:
Your photography changes everything! It's always been neat to send or receive a postcard, but your photo instead of a default stock image is going to add an impressive amount of fun.
