February 1

Sleep over at Pawpaw's. The cold will not stop us having fun.
Getting ready for tomorrow.... where in the world is Punxsutawney, anyway?
I can measure how much Amperes misses her mom by where she wants to go eat dinner.
Out of no where the pain hits you so hard you cannot move, cry or do anything. You just pray and pray it will end soon. Thanks your prayers this was a really bad bad bad day.
Another one goes down.
mach5 and I made nachos during the Super Bowl...we ate them before I could take the picture so this is the best I could do haha.

February 2

Tiger & Cupcake
This is the broken string on my guitar.............
Yesterday, Mom, Dad, Melissa and I drove up to Odgen. Cliff and Lois had started to sort of all Grandma Jensen's things and before they got rid of anything, they wanted the great-grandkids to come by and take anything they wanted. This was round one, but I am so happy with what I got. I got a nice selection of stuff that reminds me of my grandma (the plastic cereal bowls, for instance, that no one could believe I really wanted), things my grandma had crafted, including pot holders and crocheted lace, and very neat vintage stuff that I will love, use and display. I was shocked at how many things she had that were still in the packages, like the teaspoons. I want to take them out and use them, but at the same time, they are so cool in their packaging! I also adore the old books with inscriptions on the inside, including the one pictured here from 1899. The wooden tray was made in 1944. I'm not sure how old that package of needles is, but it's only missing one. And the naked girl getting into the bathtub hung in my grandma's bathroom since I can remember and reminds me so much of her.
Did anyone else watch Groundhog Day today?
i know this photoblog is very dogcentric, but...
A pair of 9/16' opalite plugs that I fried using the 'fried marbles' technique. Such a bummer that I can't wear them, damn my angry lobes for forcing me to downsize!

Little Tux
made brownies today for the vet who took such great care of us this past month.

Up before the sun!
Nicole VERY excited that she got paid and was able to buy her Club Penguin membership. She has been patiently waiting to get her money for a month.
Botany test tomorrow :(

2.4.09
Got my hair did yesterday and have a slightly new do. I am totally diggin' it. Will have a picture of that soon. In fact I took it today but won't be posting it till Sunday.

I played with my recent photos of St. Louis Cathedral and learned a few new tricks along the way.
I took the girls out front to play today and my neighbor was nice enough to give me his son's old t-ball set, bat and glove. This is Maddi's first year of softball, so she is going to use it to learn!!
Crazy for Water ~ These cats drove me crazy this morning whining for fresh water. They are old and cranky...and so am I at 5:30am! Playing with the settings; still didn't get the focus where I wanted it, but I loved the action shot, so lived with it.
Cake wreck! I'm soooo not good at cake decorating. Blame it on my lack of practice or the cream cheese frosting - either way, its not my best effort. But I'm willing to accept that. The 32 yr old birthday boy didnt seem to notice tho. Dyls thot it was nice too.
I'm in a irreverently punny mood tonight. Been reading Hunter S. Thompson and it's rubbing off on me! So I'd been planning this shot all day and printed out the map before I left work, shhhh, don't tell my step dad but when I was over at their house for dinner tonight I snagged a roll from the table, snuck into his bathroom to dump out his viagra to get this shot! I have to admit, I'm REALLY curious to find out how those things work (no, not the roll), maybe if I ever get not single again I'll sneak back in and snag one, hee.

New Red Hair Action Shot
Delicate morning sunrise from my porch. Wanting to share it with someone special.
Today when we woke up it was 6 degrees below zero. At least the snowmen were happy :-(

February 6

Meeting Lewis Black....again
Performed despite not feeling well.
Went to my hometown today :)
Current time killer on the bus...(stuff like this makes me think Weezer is funny and smarter than they may actually be)
The freshman girls did not have a basketball game tonight, so I took Sarah and a friend to watch the varsity girls. When the game was over, the girls from both teams gathered in center court. I was very surprised at the high level of sportmanship that must take to meet like that when the game is over.
My Granddaughter at the beach
had to get my hair cut - twice in the past couple weeks - this is the newest cut and the one I tend to go to over and over again!

February 8

Went to see Coraline. Until about 10 mins before the movie started, we were the only ones in the theater... would have been nice if it had stayed that way... :)
Selling things on ebay today!
School parties are serious business. Ella knew just what she wanted to make for this glorious Valentine's Day celebration - pudding with cool whip. And yes, she does her own hair. Talented little girl!

February 9

It has been in the 60's for the last four days, but I know winter isn't over until the dog stops digging out the hole in my garden that she likes to sleep in. This only happens in the winter. She's a Siberian. I guess she thinks it's snow.
I hate ironing, but the end result is nice.
Me today.
Driving back home from Solvang.
It's LOVE week! At school today, my little students worked on sewing felt hearts. We'll stuff them tomorrow.
I was really upset, so I took a walk and took some photos. I love the look of bare branches against the sky. I especially like the different colors in the sky. Very pretty. I almost used a picture with three birch trees (my second favorite tree after the willow) but it had a building in it, which I felt ruined it.
That's right, I'm eating Easter candy in February. Cadbury Eggs are my absolute favorite, and I would eat them year-round if Cadbury would let me. Hubby made an early find and surprised me with them. That man certainly knows the way to my heart. ;)

February 10

First dandelion I've seen in several months :) {this is my friend btw}
At my favorite scrapbook store for monthly sketch club.
My scarf-turned-headscarf to keep my ears warm, as I am still sick =[

The fourth of the Seven Deadly Sins for the week: Envy!

Dante has this to say about Envy: Avarice - greed, lust for material gain - is one of the iniquities that most incurs Dante's scornful wrath. Dante goes even further in blaming avarice for ethical and political corruption in his society. Dante accordingly shows no mercy - unlike his attitude toward lust gluttony - in his selection of avarice as the capital sin punished in the fourth circle of hell. By defining the sin as "spending without measure", Dante applies the classical principle of moderation to criticize excessive desire for a neutral object in both one direction and the other. Fittingly, these two groups punish and insult one another in the afterlife.
There was a really beautiful mirror in the toilet last night, so I took a picture ! ha ha
It looks like I am totally freaked out of what I wrote below. That cracks me up. More at BenSpark.com

Our boys kept running to the windows this afternoon. When we looked out, we saw why . . . the neighbor's cat, who we've named Hunter, was on the fence teasing them . . . isn't he cute?

A walk in Chiyoda-ward (210mm)
Yeah, so I took this yesterday, on Valentine's Day, but since Jack was also baptized yesterday, one of those photos will have to be the POTD. But, I can't leave this out of my 365, so I'm cheating today.

I like to find little Daniel surprises. You'll never know what you'll find where. These two corn on the cob play food pieces fit perfectly in the handle of our humidifier.

First let me get this straight, this photograph was not taken by me (original photograph found here http://xx--s-t-a-c-e-y--xx.deviantart.com/art/MeStock1-89718485). This is an image manipulation. My original intention was to make this image better in some way, but the more I looked at it, the more I realised it was as close to perfect as you can get. And as a human being, there is only one thing to be done when confronted with perfection.

Destroy it.
Mommy went home today. I like it when she comes to visit, it's a lot of fun!
Had dinner at home with the family and Louis, played Scrabble with Louis and Mr. Tony.

2nd in my halloween series will be this mummy hat. Now, I know I am planning way ahead but I have so many ideas that pop into my head all of the time. Maybe I will add a bit of color somewhere to him. What do you think?

Nothing beats a good Starbucks! I had to go to Olathe to purchase some bedroom stuff for our new furniture...and I was SO excited when I saw a drive-thru Starbucks! So, I wheeled in, got myself a blueberry scone and a tall Caramel Macchiato.

We had a busy afternoon and couldn't just settle on one photo. Victoria had gymnastics where her beam routine has improved so much. Gabriel had a basketball game and is looking better and better every week. He scored a basket and did great on defense. And Lillian was being silly and couldn't give me a nice smile.

Josh is one of my favorites. He's the busser-now-runner at work.
