It was AMAZINGLY foggy at work today... This was walking to my car at 5:00.

<b>hot pink tights</b><br><br>

we bought tickets to see dan deacon tonight.<br>
and we got dressed and ready to go.<br>
and right before we walked out the door i said.<br>
'do you want to just not go?'<br><br>

and we both agreed that it seemed awfully pretentious.<br>
and it seemed like we would feel out of place.<br>
because we just like to have fun.<br>
and fuck art.<br>
and fuck pretentious people.<br><br>

so we wondered if there was somewhere else we could go instead.<br>
and i scoured the internet.<br>
and i found what looked like a super-cool-awesome hardcore club night in baltimore.<br>
so we repeatedly flipped coins and used various fortune telling devices.<br><br>

and when we asked 'should we go?' they said yes.<br>
and when we asked 'will we go?' they said no.<br>
and we didn't.<br>
and we stayed here and we drank PBR and we watched <i>Firestarter</i> starring Drew Barrymore.
Indeed!

April 5

Read that food coloring works better than the store bought egg coloring packages...just not so:( Still got some pretty eggs though:) Hoppy Easter!
At the little country church we attend - they put up a bare cross in the corner of the lot in front by the road for people to decorate with cut flowers on Easter. Very pretty. Very special!
Saw a new born foal on West Common (Part of the New Forest National Park)
boo! they are soo cool looking when they are outside.. not in your house..
The girls were so excited this morning to find the Easter Bunny had filled their Easter baskets with a lot of goodies. I snapped this photo before we headed off to church. It was a crazy morning trying to get us ready and out the door when the Easter Bunny goodies were calling our name!
Happy Easter! Greta has been a big help lately - especially getting clothes picked out for Charlie.
Mike filing a police report for his flatbed trailer which was stolen from a storage facility in town where we had it store. Grrr....

Anski and I played tennis. I suck at it pretty bad, but we went for a lovely drive afterwards. :)
Since it was Easter Monday a family friend was down in London from Birmingham so we caught up for a coffee. This is him giving his best pose-on-a-sofa.
The girls enjoyed pink frosted sugar cookies. Grandma Susan made them for Easter and sent way too many to our house. So far I've been able to stay out of them. They look so yummy!!
Obsessed with this silly flash game right now. http://emtee.mybrute.com

April 15

Happy Tax Day. We filed a long time ago. The times sure have changed for us. Years ago a refund meant a really big shopping trip or purchase, now it goes straight into savings.
I was privileged to photograph a kid today for a good cause. This young man is really weighing on my heart. I just ask that you take time out to pray for all children who are in need of good health, love, safety, and a family. I also have a little a family I worked with who are at Disney world right now.
We hosted a dinner at our house tonight with a few families from church. Our normally too quiet house was hopping. Potato had fun and really has started to come out of her shell.
I knew I had to stop and get a pic of this chair the minute I saw it. I knew what kind of post processing I wanted too. I really like the way it turned out.
TEA parties everywhere today.
An apron I made this week!!

It came out so awesome, except my print is upside down, I so was thinking it was an all over pattern, lesson learned look at what your working on!!! lol
'If you are flammable and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit.' RIP Mitch!
Little Miss Sadie caught walking on the treadmill...a no, no but still had to get the photo!

April 16

I am extremely close to my Auntie Julie, who lives all the way in LA. She was here for a four day visit with my mother, so she made my mother bring her to my house to spend time with me and the girls...it was so great to see her!!
luck :)
This building – which looks like a castle on account of its crenellations – is in fact the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (northern aspect). It was originally the stables for Government House. I believe it's actually <i>bigger</i> than Government House!

Finally getting some time to sit down and relax after a crazy, busy few days.
Not a lot of inspiration today but I ended up liking how it turned out. Sometimes simple and little processing are better. I need to keep telling myself that. I have a busy four days at work ahead. I don't mind busy, I like it actually as long as it is only in one area of my life at a time.
i am a goofball
I took the dirt ball (Ally) to the lake today, she was quite a happy camper :)

April 21

it was really foggy this night, so i had to break out the SLR and get some cool shots.
Okay...so not a photo...but wanted to document this...and seeing that I'm no longer scrapbooking...this will have to do for the moment. So, my daughter is in the third grade. Every Monday is 'Sunshine math'. Six word problems. This is remarkable for the obvious reason...but moreso because I was upstairs getting her sister ready for bed and by the time I came downstairs she had already pulled out her homework and was hard at work WITHOUT prompting! Gasp! I set about cleaning the kitchen and when she finished I was checking over her work. She figured this out on her own! Didn't ask a single question! Now...granted...the question they were asking wasn't answered correctly...but her worked showed that she figured out it would be 12 bags and her answer shows that she knew the ratio! They most certainly have not touched upon ratios in class. I am sooooooooooooo impressed with this little kiddo of mine! Momma proud! Not only that...today she earned another stripe on her Tae Kwon Do belt...not to mention the incredible work she is doing in her community with Girl Scouts...sniff...sniff!
Canucks flags are everywhere as Stanley Cup playoff fever continues - tonight, they beat St. Louis in overtime and advanced to the next round! Woo hoo! (I'm really just a fairweather hockey fan!)

worked on getting some clay projects baked. I am trying to make cute kawaii clay pendants. I will have little poptart earrings, ninja earrings, fortune cookie earrings and necklaces, chinese takeout boxes of noodles pendants, etc. Here are some of the fortune cookies that will be used for pendants. This is before they got baked- I think...
I was able to join Gabriel on his field trip to the Arizona Desert Museum. We had a good time and learned a lot!

Youth Week at work. Today the kids got to decorate (and eat) their own cupcake. There were leftovers at the end of the day so the employees got in on the fun. This is the cupcake I decorated.
Nothing wrong with the focus there. What other choice do you have with a T-shirt in honour of the guy who came up with the Uncertainty Principle?

Studying for my final 2 finals, I procrastinate by realizing that I haven't taken any photos today for shuttercal. So what do I do? I put off studying for a little while longer to put up photo's for yesterday and today.
