My Dad and I visited a Military Museum in Montebello and they had a HUGE gun from a ship!
fortune. I got this the day I decided that I should invest my time in the band. It seemed to fit.

I like September.
My first of the month backyard photo.
My little fish

September 2

Bye bye Hedge Apple trees. We have two annoying Hedge Apple trees in our backyard that are thankfully getting removed. They will not be missed!
In the shallows ..
Trying to figure out what I 'need' to pack in my carry-on. Do you like how passport, the most important item, is trumped by entertainment? LOL. Oh, and in case you are wondering- the 'me' tag book is for a Cathy Zielske class at Big Picture Scrapbooking.
A Lane in Glasgow Merchant City
went to Fry's to test drive some laptops since mine is comatose. they don't allow photos to be taken inside, but i didn't know that when i snapped this shot =P
I kept my distance...this thing scared me.

September 3

This is pretty much candid. I was lying on the floor, and this ended up pretty nice.

Day 247 of Project 365 = leaving my honey a note in the bathroom, half work day, internet set-up at new house, updating Project 365. =)

Our 5th wedding anniversary! We took a trip to Port Austin, MI for the weekend.

September 5

My French-Canadian heritage, in stone. My grandfather, grandmother, cousin, mother and aunt. Turns out, looking at the other graves in the cemetary, that the Preves (pronounced Pre-vees) are kind of a big deal in Penacook, NH.
Nesting dolls. They were selling them at the Greek Festival in Columbus, OH.
Lake Clemintine, Forestville-CA
Korean War Veterans Memorial, Washington, DC.
With all eight of us and our luggage crammed into the little boat, we made our way home. Just before we arrived at the dock, the heavens opened and by the time we got to our cars, we were all drenched!
Kyle's dad, Del, and his girlfriend, Nancy, came to visit us for Labor Day weekend. Here we were walking along Grand Avenue in St. Paul, visiting the cute little shops, we just happen to be right outside of a yarn/knitting shop in this photo.

September 6

Bre's Boyfriend helping set up her new bed & YES the room is being re-painted!
I *seriously* need a new power cord...thing...
Natalie's decided that she will sit in a big chair to eat. But, she wants to climb in and out during meal time so we are getting a booster seat so she can still be at the table yet buckled in.
can you eat this kind?
HAVE AN AWESOME SUNDAY!
Went to the largest bookstore in Korea today-- on my way there I saw this sign. I LOVED book-off in Japan (chain used bookstore)... and got so excited I tried to go to book-off. Of course, even though the sign was there, the store is on the other side of Seoul. :S
Old man Michael on the porch.

September 7

it's labor day, time to wash the keyboard.
I think this player was a bit bored out there on the field!
view from the glider
Daisy came to the feeders this afternon, she has had her babies ...
Drove by the apple orchards and was so surprised to see the U-Pick open. I guess it's really fall.

September 8

Today is our second anniversary. I wasn't on Shuttercal at the time of our wedding, so I feel it's fair to post this picture, since we went through them all together again today!
the only part of my room that managed to get 'decorated' it's a couple of boxes and a blanket (& my photo books *g*).
Artist proof of my first print for printmaking class. I think I'm in love.
Charming boy.
visited scotts friend at dreamworks studio... they get free food! it was paradise behind those studio gates...
Sage Chapel, with very dim lighting.
'Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.'
Matthew 7:15

September 9

A cute plush piggie magnet. It was on clearance for like 49 cents so I bought it. I have to put it on the top part of the freezer because Kane sees it and wants to eat it, so she jumps all over the refrigerator. LOL
Tonight we went to visit Aunt Nancy in the hospital. She left work with chest and neck pain. They ended up giving her some muscle relaxers and kept her overnight for observation. Her heart seems to be fine. Pa-Pa Fred was also at the hospital and the girls loved seeing him!
Charles' empty room awww :(
Ninja noming a mouse
Closeup of a flower from the bouquet I bought at Manoff Market Gardens last week. Also, YELLOW! (Theme of the week by chance)
OMG MY FAV BURGER JOINT OPENED DOWN THE STREET!

I <3 P. Terry's!!

Great. Now all the weight I lost is about to be gained in a gluttonous eating mouth orgy. Yes. I said it.

Nothing too special today - sorry guys.

September 10

We had our first fire drill of the year this morning. The third day of school! The kindies needed advance warning so their teacher could herd them out in time, but all was well (except for the crying grade three girl...). Even the middle school students, shown in the photo, were really quiet; this was possibly our best one ever!
HDR view of the next building.
Don't worry, be happy (:
a man making a marmaid at Filey beach
While a technical atrocity, I really liked the way the patterns on their shirts slowly came into clarity from right to left. A happy accident.
Some things are meaningless.

September 11

from our garden
The inside of my wallet. Most people have pictures of people close to them, significant others or what have you. Me? I have Chuck Norris. Damn right.
One of our teachers died this past week and it shocked us all. She was only 39. We all should take a closer look at our lives and be grateful for the people and friends we love. Life is short.
Birthday meal
This is a local christian band, Without Silence, that played at an event called Light of Love where Sean McDowell (Josh McDowell's son) spoke. They are awesome. If you'd like you can check them out at www.myspace.com/withoutsilenceband or www.shakethecity.com

Day 176 of 365 <br /><br /> Thought I'd have some fun with the webcam today to step outside the box.
We have been talking to Natalie about her sisters and showing her their pictures. We want her to know she has sisters, and it is super sweet when she says their names. Here is my all time favorite of Addison holding Jason's finger.
Day 76

September 13

I got the keys...wanna go for a ride
not really focus'd, but I don't care too much. Finally got off the floor today to take a picture. Still feeling sorry for myself, lol.

Haeundae Beach at Busan- Busan was really pretty! I really wish I lived there =).

September 14

To me this was really silly, went to mikes drank beers and played video games all night.
A little hummer looking for flowers .
We had a meet the Dr. appointment with a new pediatrician. Check out this patient room! Leather couches, flat screen TVs, super nice. No doctors tables or anything! We loved the office AND the doctor!
Well, I filled-in my blank days with photos of the jewelry I make. Since I take SSSOOOO many photos, and am always involved in too many projects, it's inevitable I'll miss posting photos sometimes. That said, the photos won't strictly have been taken on their calendar date. Sorry, TS.
This next photo is to introduce current crazy job #4(it's #4 because it's the job I want to keep least, I think!). A regular customer at WTH thrift store drew this & taped it to the front of my register when I wasn't looking.
An apple tree next to my parents' house. (Photo #1 of 4)

September 15

Got a much needed haircut and color today! Went a little darker for the fall/winter season on my highlights.
schoooooool
Here's where I sit most of the day, if I'm not up packing shipments, in a meeting or doing a project upstairs, or off on break. Yes, it's horrible having these white shades right behind my computer screen, but I haven't gotten around to putting black shades up to alleviate the glare. (Lumix DMC-FZ28)

September 16

Oh Tanning Bed, How I've Missed You :) Yeah, Yeah... I Know It's Bad For Me.

I spent all night continuing to watch "Lost" on Netflix.com. I made it to the last episode of season 2 but I fell asleep halfway through so I'll have to finish that up tomorrow.

September 18

Spider: 1
Bee: 0
New monitor! Finally a flat widescreen!
My awesome steak marinade (dried rosemary and oregano, oil, honey, red wine vinegar, S&P). Too bad I overcooked it by a couple of minutes on both sides. Still working on judging the thickness of the steak.
The boiling water looked neat. I guess I'm just really easily amused.
49/365 Night on my side

September 19

Day 262 of Project 365 = a beautiful wedding and reception for friends in Gloucester, VA. The sunset was gorgeous and the clouds were fantastically chaotic. My kind of scenery. =)
The agenda for the day - induction!
Just a typical Saturday morning at our house....shelling fava beans!
On the way home tonight there was an accident bad enough for them to close the road off. Hope everyone's ok!
Smile. You're in Pennsylvania.

September 20

One of my Netflixed Torchwood DVDs choked my surround sound system to death. Time for a replacement...
13th century painting used on a card in my shop www.lindabutterfly.etsy.com
Since so many new volunteers have arrived recently, Jessie (from New Zealand) hosted a tea and crumpets party at the tower house. (I still don't know why it's called the tower house and I've been here for over a month.) The crumpets were yummy and the company was grand! I believe we were talking about TV shows from our childhood at this point, like the Care Bears. (Lumix DMC-FZ28)
Aunt Katie teaching Jack how to drum.
Lazing around in Alibaug..Kashid beach

September 21

My friend goes off to uni today :(
<br>Lesson of the day: Uni is so stressful 0.o
My new tattoo: received July 18th at Nobody's Hero Tattoo in Boise, ID, by Papa Joe. I wanted another bird on the other side to balance out the bird I got in June. Both birds are (intentionally) very different from each other.
In Key West we went out on to a reef on a glass bottom boat. This is when we could still see our ship, we went out much further than that.
last nights sunset before it sunk into the marine layer off sunset cliffs
Adams Cup, day 1. 36 holes, 17 teams! Long day but lots of fun and lessons. I love B&W when it works...
Love the GTO hood mounted Tach.

September 22

Bob ran away from me and was chasing a car last night when he ran right into it! At first I thought the car hit him but after he got over the initial shock he got up and walked away without even a limp. Today though you could tell that the left side of his face was a bit swollen.

I can't wait to go to this :))
I LOVE HALLOWEEN

Local Pageant winners participants in the North Highlands Memorial Day parade 2009
So sometimes the shoes explode, and yes sometimes I wear my Batman boxers and in the aftermath one might pause to take rest, and during such times, one might get rather irked if some other one were to point a camera at you whilst in the midst of your pausing rest...oops. Well, I just thought they were silly cool pics anyway, and generations to come, when one of my grandchild's grandchildren's grandchild stumbles across these pics, I only hope they too pause and take a moment to wonder...wonder just what in the hell I was thinking to let such a shoe explosion happen in the first place!!!! Well, maybe not, but 'eh, it's tired, I'm late, deal.

September 26

This made me think of Hank Sr.
I was a bit early for work, so I sat in the parking lot and enjoyed the sunshine while listening to music.
Monopoly in the sanctuary. The kids love being in there at night.
Nice!
I photographed a wedding today. Everything that could have went wrong, did. It rained all day long. It did not let up for one minute. The bride was late due to hair issues and the groom arrived around 10 minutes before the ceremony. There was no parking at the reception site. I didn't get to do many fun shots pre-ceremony. We did get a lot of the ceremony and of the Bride getting ready. I suppose it is good to have it all go wrong. The couple was very sweet and in love and the bride dealt with it all far better than I would have.

September 27

We had fish and chips in the park today and were mobbed by seagulls. Look at their vicious flesh-tearing beaks! (I felt just like Tippy Hedren!)
I went to see Over the Threshold with Jennie, Laura and Cat. As with most times when I hang out with Laura and Jennie, we ended up taking lots of crazy pictures. I love this one of Jennie and I.
Jenny displays the shirt she designed.
Gone To Chruch =)!
Our little scouts scaling the cliff dwellings...had to hold my breath for that one!

3 Generations of Mechanics?
Fun.

September 29

Micki and I have several fruit flies in our kitchen due to some vegetables she left in a container so we decided to set a trap with some apple pieces and wine in a bowl with plastic wrap. So far there are four of them trapped in there. I kind of feel a little bad for them though.
My hubby told me I could throw out the ashtray...he quit smoking!!!
I drive by this scene everyday on my way to and from work. So I finally stopped to take a shot before the sun set too low. The bike and running trail we use is to the right in this shot. I just love that I can see the city skyline from a few blocks from my house.

My grandma's little owl - she was the best grandma! <3 I miss her much. XO
