This cracked me up. This sign was in a bathroom--- in case I forgot how to wash my hands. =P

Made a fall wreath for the front door...
Self-portraits! Ha, this has taken so many turns today ... I keep coming back to it and it keeps changing. I may be brave enough to rework and 'publish' the other one but I didn't want to scare any younger viewers ... so the 'tame' version it is!

Our 5th wedding anniversary! We took a trip to Port Austin, MI for the weekend.
Should have gotten closer but was chasing the boy...football season has begun at the park across the street.
A spot of rust of my car. This is at the bottom of where my car got hit last week. The rust cracked open from the impact. It looks cool at least!

Dogs walking on the beach ... wait a minute - that's not a dog it's a LAMB! It was very cute and it pays to have your camera with you at all times =)

Rachel and Bryant had a bbq today, so Jack and Marcel got to play together. Jack loves playing with Marcel!
beaded up a new necklace!
Day 2.5 of Hermit weekend 6.2.09. So not a pic from today, but the culmination of edits that came from the implementation of the hermit weekend at least...and I played some online games, and I apparently ticked off a Queen Bee, played with a kitten or two, and a few other unmentionables, ha.
Bre's Boyfriend helping set up her new bed & YES the room is being re-painted!
I gave in and started watching Season 1 of TrueBlood even though I really wanted to finish the series first. From what I can tell, the first season only follows the storyline of the first book anyways. I watched the first couple episodes and was pretty disappointed at the poor acting and inconsistencies vs the book. I'm hoping it gets better. :\

September 7

Some fun with light while my family and I were hanging in the garage drinking beers...
Toy airplane all cleaned up ... it was made in 1979 ... it must have been one of my sons' toys ... will have to see if they remember ...

2nd birthday portrait
Welcome to Atlanta
I didn't have anything to do this day, so I decided I needed a new 'MySpace' photo. Here's the best out of 5 shots. I love the couch. My boyfriend just shelled out shy of $1,000 for it. I would NEVER spend that much myself, but I must admit, it is quite comfortable.
More park time...gotta get it in now before the snow flies!

After yesterday I think I bruised my feet from wearing heels all day. But at least I looked good doing it.

A foot-portrait taken by Graham and showing how her feet typically look: chipped polish and toes taped together. I think it’s nice how her peeling polish matches the balcony railing.

Day 255 of Project 365 = breakfast to-go, picking up Mocha for puppy-sitting, astonished that Mocha's feline companion Baby (pictured above) seems to have gained more weight since we last saw him?, yard work, house work, Chinese take-out (notice a theme?), more Firefly DVD's.
The condition of being bored!

'Sheer boredom'
One of these days, I'll do a proper Day In the Life over the course of a week, but here's a little sampling: lunch time! Brendan and Mallory were having a very intense staring contest, but I don't recall who won.. I think Brendan kept it up. Erica's in the green -- she's the organizational queen and is headed down to Stanford for a master's in education with the hopes of becoming a dean of students. 'way in the back are Roger and Isabel, who are super-cool and like watching lots of anime and playing video games. Also, they'll be here through wintertime with me into the next year, so that may be all we do come rainy, clammy January when all the rest of the volunteers have left for sunnier skies. Lately Natalie tells me not to tuck her sheet in because she wants to hug it. I don't know why she needs another 'blanket' as she has so many in bed already. The sheet is under her head.
Morning prayer and announcements.

Me n little Bro on the top of Pikes Peak
This is a terrible photo of me, but the only thing that matters is that I'm THRILLED that the dress code changed at work and we get to wear jeans/sneakers every single day :D
One Night Stand. The flowers that bloom for only one night were at it again. I caught one this morning as I was taking my dog out. They're so beautiful. I wish I had a micro lense!

September 17

Almost finished unpacking in my bedroom. There are just a few things left in these boxes, and I'm mainly waiting for more shelves to open up.
Ok so, this picture is a crappy picture of the Rock Band top scores for a song. It's awesome because somehow, my sister and I got the very same score twice. I DONT KNOW HOW WE MANAGED THAT. I was on drums and she was on guitar. SO WEIRD.

Mini Mermaid Barbie ring! Her hair is actually way more mint looking than baby blue, and it is sooo the color I want my hair to be T.T

September 20

Having fun at the State Fair.
This photo was taken of Nicholas as we played in the park Sunday Evening. Sunday morning we found out that his brother (and Ryder's Brother) Douglas Crane, was killed in an apartment fire in Utica, NY. Four people perished in the fire today. Nicholas is crushed, but what kid can't forget his troubles out at the park?
I learned a very important lesson today. I really cannot dye my hair any other color but black unless I bleach it first.

What a shame.

On the box of hair dye it said my hair would be this awesome red color... its just... about the same now. I don't want to have to lift my hair to add a $4.99 package of hair dye. Thats stupid. If I put that much work into it, I might as well stay with my pinks, reds and blues.
Found these on my way out to get the paper this morning.
'Gateway To My Backyard Wildlife Habitat'

Potato is really enjoying dance class. I admire my little girl. She is quite timid but is pretty brave and willing to try new things. I know she gets nervous but she does it anyway. She is such a sweet girl and makes a beautiful little ballerina.

Day 8 - September 22, 2009

Today Marc and I decided to take pictures of something that reminds us of each other. He gave me this gorgeous necklace for Christmas last year, and I never really take it off - not even to shower or sleep. I think this necklace is so special because he picked it out himself for me (his sister told me the number or websites he went through searching for the right one) - it's simple, and cute, and perfect. I love it :)

At the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney they have established a 'Welcome Wall'. It's 100 metres long and honours Australian immigrants, 'however they travelled, wherever they landed and wherever they live today'.
This is continually added to as names are registered. I've been meaning to photograph it for ages, ever since my mother registered my father, who arrived from England in the 1950s.

Our last full day on the ship. This is Dalton coming down the slide on the boat. He wasn't supposed to go down like this but he started out right then he would shift around somehow. The only negative was all the water in the pools and things were saltwater..

Just got through visiting a friend...
These flowers are on a vine I planted around my mailbox...The rain did some good!
I rode the AutoTrain from Sanford, Florida to Lorton Virginia. Brought along my truck (Nissan X-Terra) so that I can start my next project in Richmond, VA. The AutoTrain was nice but I didn't get much sleep!

September 27

I made cupcakes today. And not the boring round ones, either! I made them into STARS.
Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

Walking back from work along Chiswick High Road, into the sunrise. The building to the left with the Palm Trees is the Chiswick Moran Hotel, which often taunts me with the people relaxing in the bar as I walk past in the evening.

Today was picture day at Preschool. We got up early and curled Gracie's hair and she wore one of her favorites outfits. If I let her pick our her clothes she always wants to wear this outfit.

I tried to feed my bunny lettuce but she would have no part of it. So I was like 'Fine then, don't eat the lettuce! WEAR IT AS A HAT' and ..she did. She was cool with the lettuce hat. She didn't mind at all! I was amused.
Fantastic
I'm getting used to driving with the camera in my hand

postcard

Q- How much text can these postcards hold?
A- 500 characters. That's about 3 average size paragraphs.

Q- I noticed I can write more than the actual area on the card, how does that work?
A- The text area on your screen is slightly different then the print area of the actual card. Don't worry, your
message will fit on the card completely intact.

Q- Will the card include a link to my original photo?
A- Yes. Take a look in the lower right corner of the card. A link to your calendar and the image you are sending will be included there.

Q- How comparable are ShutterCal postcards to the look and feel of traditional postcards?
A- Honestly, ShutterCal postcards are superior to the average card you'd find in a store. They are printed on thick premium paper with top quality inks. They also have a beautiful glossy finish that makes the image pop while adding a extra layer of protection to the photo.

Noteable Notes:
Postcards go through the riggers of postal system!
These are high quality images passing through the crazy mail sorting machines of the world. Your cards are going to look great, but keep in mind that they are going to get stamped, postmarked, and handled. It all adds to the characteristics that make postcards great!

Postcards have unpredictable delivery times:
We did some tests and are amazed by the results! You could see your postcards reaching their destinations within 3 days! Other times your cards can take 2+ weeks to arrive ...postcards are just crazy like that.

Postcards are fun, but customized postcards are amazing!:
Your photography changes everything! It's always been neat to send or receive a postcard, but your photo instead of a default stock image is going to add an impressive amount of fun.
