“You’re always learning about this thing everytime you pick it up.”

Shocked that coffee hasn't featured in any of my photos yet. I like coffee.

Chandra and her new friend... I wouldn't let her take Bentley on this bike ride so she found a substitute. This is a 'party color' miniature schnauzer. Very cute dog.
Today was the epic 100 mile ride. Chandra and I rode from San Jose to Oakland (started with a group of about 45), then took Bart under the bay to San Francisco. From there, we biked back to San Jose on a similar route to what we took last weekend. We finished it off by riding from the end at SJ City Hall home to Campbell, another 8.5 miles. In total, we did somewhere between 108 and 115 miles. Unfortunately, my GPS didn't work and I didn't get a track recorded so we could see exact stats. Oh well... we did it!
I always spend a few moments looking at the flowers when I am at the grocery store. Why not enjoy them for free right? This one was especially beautiful and unusual.
Making an unplanned trip to Oregon to help my daughter who is away at school. I received news through her boss that leads me to believe she is more overwhelmed and depressed than she has let on to me. This shot was taken at a rest stop as I passed Lake Shasta on my way to Ashland.
I overslept.. hitting snooze on my alarm and woke up at 10:05 when I was supposed to be at church at 10:00. Bagging church wasn't an option because I was singing a duet with another lady along with the Primary children. I have never gotten ready for church so quickly. I arrived during the passing of the sacrament in plenty of time to be there before the singing commenced. Whew...! I also go my chocolate -- a traditional Mother's Day treat. I wasn't in charge of sharing time, but did help the children with their project of making a card for their mothers.
Time to head home for the day.
Happy Trails to Me!! Until we meet again. (can you hear me singing?)
Just a tree on a hill. I almost got rear-ended while shooting this. How can you almost get rear-ended on a country road (that doesn't even have a name) in the middle of nowhere?
Who-Moi? Never!
Checking me (you?) out.
My camera and I went out for a drive, and of course, the sky cooperated.

seed pod...(don't ask me the name of the tree!)
Ella helps Jack get out of the way of the big kids swinging on the tree rope. She is always so helpful.
We had a beach picnic tonight. It was such a nice and warm day with plenty of sunshine so we couldn't resist!
Début des travaux du balcon, dans une semaine on aura une terrasse toute neuve... et ça sera la fin (ou presque) des travaux !!
La suite de notre nouvelle salle de bains... avec la douche qui coule enfin correctement et un vrai bain :-)
'What's up Doc?'
We are young, we are free, up in the clouds our minds may be.
Finding beauty in the 'broken'.
Although her lilac tree is sure to bloom beautifully and its roots are sure to strongly bind it to the land, it will never be as beautiful or strong as my mother, happy mother's day!
I hate it that Livejournal has fallen so far that the only think that is consistently updated on my flist is fandom secrets :(
Whit and John bought a house! We welcomed them into their new home with backyard shenanigans.

Skylight at the DMV... woo...!
My awesome cemetery themed birthday cake. :D Yay! I am another year older!
Well, I think it's evident and official that I've hit a creative brick wall and have had little success finding a way around it for some time now. I briefly entertained the thought of giving up but I'm sticking this out 'til the end.
Happy Cat dances a jig :)

Jack is a little bit full of energy sometimes. He is on top of Mason's car. Were he on top of my car, I'm afraid I would I would not be as accepting as Mason is.
Pointing to a bird. I'm amazed that you are already recognizing and pointing to things. You are so smart!
Landon showing Mason the progress that he's made on the golf cart. He's very good at making 'something out of nothing'
Mother's Day is on Sunday. Mason brought over his Mother's day present today because his mother-in-law is not well and they are going to spend the day with her.
Whenever I ask you to make a silly face, this is what you give me. Dad took you shopping for Mother's Day. You got me 2 sand toys, a giant pink frisbee, and my own squirt gun. You were so excited, you pulled them all out and gave them to me as soon as you got home so we could play with them.
The first of my roses are starting to bloom!
On our way to Logan/Hyrum area to look at a trailer. This is a beautiful section of the Wasatch mountains near Willard, Utah - just south of Brigham City where I grew up.
