Poof!

Lucky catch. I had to wait a while for this guy to come out so I could get a clear shot. Got lucky today had several good shots at different birds too. up until the bus load of kiddies showed up. Then it was time for me to go. I was after solitude today. had a wonderful morning at the nature reserve wetlands by myself.

This rose is my favorite.

A Beautiful Day -- Happy Mother's Day to my mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and all my friends and family that are mothers... We spent the afternoon with my mother, playing Bingo (no luck) - her favorite game, went to the lake to get a little sun, and then enjoying a family dinner... It felt a little more like summer here in mid-May, but still incredible sunshine and sky.

On a rainy day the Indigo Buntings showed up for the first time this spring. Tough lighting for such a bright bird.

This is Stretch. I thought I'd get a picture of him rolling in the sand after a ride on the beach. He had other ideas. All he wanted to do was look at everything going on around him.

Rain today.

Went to my favourite patchwork shop today ( I've posted photos of it on SC before ) - partly as I needed some backing fabric for a quilt, partly because I needed to be surrounded by vibrant colour on a day that promised only rain, rain and more rain...followed by some thunder and lightning. This wrapped chair is by the same woman, Jo Dixey, whose wrapped chair, table, cups and saucers I featured on SC on 29th July last year. I got the perfect fabric, sat in their comfy armchairs to look at patchwork books, and then came out to not only bump into a friend who lives nearby but to look up and see a double rainbow. A good decision all round!
